PFA Fundraiser – Fun mats

By | PFA

To raise money for school the PFA have asked each child to create a design to be made into a fun mat.

These designs make perfect gifts for Christmas or birthday presents.

There is a wide variety of gifts available  from £3.00 to £13.50.

Gifts available are coasters, message pads, computer mouse mats, t-shirts, place mats, glass table mats and canvas bags.

Mrs Hoffman will be in the hall after school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, where you can go and see your child’s design. Gifts need to be ordered and paid for by Thursday 7th November.

The Giving Machine

By | Parents' letters, PFA

A plea to all of our wonderful parents….

It’s that time of year when online shopping becomes our favourite pastime as we all clamber to get ready for Christmas.

Every year, your favourite online shops pay £millions in sales commissions to websites that drive shoppers to them. By shopping via you ensure that any commission paid on your purchase is donated to us, and therefore benefits your own children!

There are 100’s of your favourite online shops participating on TheGivingMachine website including Amazon, Ebay, M&S, NEXT, John Lewis, Tesco and Sainsburys. So whether its your weekly online Sainsburys shop or your huge haul of Christmas presents via Amazon, by linking to the shopping sites via your GivingMachine account – you can generate much needed funds for the school from the comfort of your own home and at no extra cost!

You can join to become a Giver by visiting – entering your name, e-mail address and postcode and selecting our school as your chosen beneficiary. Then, every time you shop online, logon to TheGivingMachine before you shop and you will make free cash donations with every purchase you make. You will receive e-mails from TheGivingMachine thanking you for your support and letting you know when the school receives a payment. Apart from helping us for free, the benefits of becoming a Giver include exclusive special offers from the online retailers and access to free fun giveaways and competitions.

Givers who use TheGivingMachine can easily generate an additional £15-£30 a year all at no extra cost, so if every parent in the school did this, we could feasibly expect to raise at least an extra £1,500 in funds from this activity!

For those of you with memories like sieves (probably a lot of us!) there is free browser toolbar which plugs into your internet browser (e.g. Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.) which places a big “Give as you Shop” button to make it easier and quicker for you to donate whilst you shop online.

Thanks so much for your help with this.

Happy Shopping!
